What Inbox shows
Open Inbox from the side menu. When someone is waiting for a reply, Home shows it at the top too: tap it to go straight to Inbox. Inbox lists what people have sent to your connected accounts:
- Comments on your posts
- Messages sent to your accounts
- Reviews on your Facebook Page or Google Business Profile
To see one type at a time, tap Comments, Messages or Reviews at the top. Tap All to see everything again. Anything you haven't read yet has a dot next to it.
Reply to someone
Each comment is its own entry, even when several people comment on the same post, so everyone gets their own answer. Tap an entry to open it. You'll see what they wrote, the post they commented on, and any replies under it.
Type your reply in the box and tap send. Or tap one of the 2 Suggested replies above the box. A suggested reply goes into the box first, so you can change it before you send it.
Suggested replies are written in your business's voice and only use facts we have about your business, from your website or from you. If someone asks something those facts don't answer, the suggestion says you'll check and get back to them, instead of guessing.
Which platforms you can reply to
Not every platform lets apps reply for you.
| Platform | Comments | Messages | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yes | Yes | Yes | |
| Yes | Yes | - | |
| X | Yes | Yes, but X hides some messages | - |
| Company pages only | No | - | |
| Threads | Yes | No | - |
| TikTok | No | No | - |
| Google Business | - | - | Yes |
When a platform doesn't allow a reply, Inbox tells you, and you can answer in that platform's own app.
Facebook and Instagram only accept a reply to a message within 24 hours of the person's last message. If your reply is too late, Inbox tells you, and you can answer in their app instead.
If a reply doesn't send
Inbox shows a message that says why. The most common reasons are that the comment was deleted, or that the account needs you to sign in again. To sign in again, go to Settings > Connected accounts and tap Reconnect.
