How your drafts fill your schedule

You get 10 new drafts every week. Your posting schedule sets when the ones you approve go out. For example, if you approve 10 posts and your schedule has 5 posting times a week, they fill the next 2 weeks.

When you sign up, the posting pace you pick sets a starting schedule:

  • 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • 5 days a week: Monday to Friday
  • 7 days a week: every day

To change it, go to Settings > Schedule > Posting schedule.

Choose your days and times

  1. Tap a day (Mon to Sun) to turn it on or off.
  2. Tap a day's time to change it.
  3. To post more than once on a day, tap + to add another time. You can set up to 4 times a day.

For example, Monday at 12:00 PM and Friday at 3:00 PM gives you 2 posts a week.

To remove a time, tap the x next to it. Removing a day's last time turns that day off. At least one day has to stay on.

The Mon, Wed, Fri, Weekdays and Every day buttons replace your whole schedule with one time on each of those days, including any times you set yourself. Posts already in Calendar keep their dates. Posts you approve after that use the new schedule.

See where your next post will go

Calendar shows your upcoming empty posting times. Each post you approve takes the next free time for the accounts it's going to, however far ahead that is. If you approve more posts than fit in a week, they fill the following weeks in order.

If you unschedule a post yourself, it stays under Unscheduled posts until you choose a time for it.

Move one post

Open the post in Calendar, choose a new date and time, then save. You can choose any date and time in the future, even on a day that's normally off. On a computer, you can also drag a post to another day, and it keeps its time. Moving one post doesn't change your weekly schedule.

If you ask for a post on a specific date, in Chat or in your note on New post, we keep that date, even if the day is full or switched off. If that date or time has already passed when you approve the post, we tell you, and the post waits under Unscheduled posts until you choose a new time.

Let us choose your posting times

Once 8 of your posts have gone out, we look at which posting hours get your posts the most engagement. We then move the times you've left for us to choose to those hours. We never change a time you set yourself, and we keep your chosen days and the number of times on each day.

If you've set any times yourself and want us to choose them again, go to Posting schedule and tap Let us choose all the times.

Questions

Common questions

Can I choose when posts go out?

Yes. In Settings, choose the days you want to post and a time for each day. You can set up to 4 times a day. You can also move any post to any future date and time in Calendar.

Will you change the times I choose?

No. We never change a time you set yourself. We only adjust the times you've left for us to choose, once we know which hours get your posts the most engagement.

What happens if I approve more posts than I have times for?

They fill the following weeks in order, so your calendar fills further ahead. You still get new drafts every week.
