Connecting your accounts

Connect each platform once, and we'll post the drafts you approve to it automatically.

Connect an account

  1. Open Settings, then Connected accounts.
  2. Choose the platform.
  3. Sign in on that platform's own sign-in screen.

That's it. You sign in to Instagram, Facebook or TikTok directly, so we never see your password.

On a computer, the sign-in opens in a new tab. The tab closes by itself once the account is connected, and the page you started from shows the account as connected. On a phone, the sign-in opens in the same tab and brings you back when you're done.

We post to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Google Business Profile. Connect only the ones you use. You can add or remove one at any time, and your price stays the same.

Connect a Facebook Page

When you connect Facebook, the sign-in screen names the app as Social Media Connector. That's the service we use to post for you, so you're on the right screen. Before it connects, Facebook asks you two questions:

  1. Which Pages. Choose Opt in to current Pages only, then check the Page for this brand.
  2. Which businesses. Choose Opt in to current Businesses only, then check the business that owns that Page.

The other option on each screen, Opt in to all current and future, shares every Page and business you manage now, plus any you create later. We only need the one Page, so share just that one.

If you run Pages for more than one business, add each business as its own brand and connect its Page there.

Connect Instagram

Instagram has its own sign-in, separate from Facebook's. After you sign in, Instagram shows the account it will connect and what Social Media Connector can do with it: post, reply to comments and messages, and read your numbers. Check that it's your business's account, then tap Allow.

  • Your Instagram account needs to be a business or creator account. You can switch a personal account for free in Instagram's own settings.
  • If Instagram shows your feed after you sign in, the account isn't connected yet. On a computer, close that tab and click Try again next to Instagram. On a phone, open Approved again, go to Settings, then Connected accounts, and tap Connect next to Instagram. You're already signed in by then, so it goes straight to the screen with Allow.

Connect Google Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile is the listing people see when they search for you on Google or find you on Google Maps. When you connect it, we can post updates to your listing, and you can read and reply to the reviews people leave in Inbox.

  1. Open Settings, then Connected accounts, then Google Business.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that manages your listing.
  3. If that account manages more than one location, choose the one for this brand.

Your listing needs to be verified with Google first. If it isn't, Google shows you how when you open the listing in Google Business Profile.

Turn Stories on or off

Instagram and Facebook have Stories as well as a feed. If Stories are on, each time a post goes live on one of those accounts, we also add it to that account's Story, pointing people to the full post on your profile. Stories disappear after 24 hours.

The first time you finish reviewing your drafts with Instagram or Facebook connected, we ask whether you want Stories on. If you say yes, Stories are on for every brand and every account, including ones you add later. If you choose Not now, we won't ask again. You can change it at any time:

  1. Open Settings, then Connected accounts.
  2. Under Stories, use the switch for your brand. If you have more than one brand, the All brands switch sets the default, and each brand also has its own switch.

A change applies from the next post that goes live. A Story that's already up stays until it disappears. To keep a single post off your Story, open the post in Calendar and turn off its Instagram Story or Facebook Story switch under Post to.

After you connect an account

Posts you've already approved go out automatically at their scheduled times. You don't need to approve them again. If a post's time passed more than a day before you connected, we move it to your next free posting time.

We only mark a post as Posted once the platform confirms it's live, not when we send it. If you see Posted, the post is on your feed.

If an account needs you to sign in again

Platforms sometimes sign you out. Changing your password can do it, and so can the platform's own security rules. When that happens:

  • We email you as soon as we find out.
  • In Settings > Connected accounts, the account shows a Reconnect button.
  • Your scheduled posts for that account are paused, not lost.

Once you reconnect, the paused posts go out within a few minutes. If a post hasn't gone out anywhere and its time passed more than a day ago, we move it to your next free posting time instead of posting it late. That way, you don't get a pile of old posts all at once. A post you asked for on a specific date isn't moved: if its date has passed, choose a new time for it in Calendar.

You don't need to remake anything, and nothing is deleted.

Disconnect an account

Open Settings, then Connected accounts, and tap Disconnect next to the account.

  • Posts already published there stay on that platform.
  • Posts that were waiting to go there are marked in Calendar as not sent to that platform. Their other platforms aren't affected.
  • We stop sending posts there until you connect the account again. After you reconnect, upcoming posts go there as scheduled. To send a post that missed it, open the post in Calendar and tap Try the failed ones again (or Try again, if that was the post's only account).

Questions

Common questions

Do you see my passwords?

No. You sign in on the platform's own sign-in screen, so your password never reaches us.

Do I have to connect every platform?

No. Connect only the ones you use. You can add or remove one at any time, and the price stays the same.

When is a post marked as posted?

Only after the platform confirms it's live, not when we send it. If you see Posted, it's on your feed.

What happens if my account gets signed out?

We email you, and your scheduled posts for that account are paused, not lost. Once you reconnect it in Settings, they go out. If a post's time passed more than a day ago, we move it to your next free posting time.
