Asking for things in Chat
In Chat you talk to Pip. Ask him for posts and changes in plain sentences, the way you'd text someone on your team. He makes them, shows them to you in the chat, and remembers your rules.

Ask the way you'd say it
Pip is our post pigeon, and he looks after your posts. You don't need special words. Type what you want in Chat, for example:
- "Make a post about our holiday hours for Friday morning."
- "Move Friday's post to Sunday."
- "Rewrite that caption to sound a bit warmer."
- "Make the picture on Friday's post brighter."
- "What's going out this week?"
A new post appears in the chat when it's ready, usually in about two minutes. Tap its picture to see it full screen, then swipe down or tap the x to go back. You can approve it right there, or tell Pip what to change. A change to a post changes that same post, and we keep its earlier picture in case you want it back. If you've left the app by the time something you asked for is ready, we'll email you.
A new picture, or a change to a picture, uses 1 credit. A video uses 10 credits and takes about 15 minutes. Writing and changing captions doesn't use credits.
Make and change videos
Ask for a video the same way, for example "Make a video of our croissants." Pip tells you what he'll make, how long it takes and how many credits it uses, and starts when you say yes. You can pick the kind of video, or let him choose:
- Someone holding your product and talking about it
- A close-up of your product, like a pour or a cut
- One of your photos brought to life
When the video is ready, it plays right in the chat. To change it, tap Change and then Edit video, or just ask:
- "Make the video slower."
- "End on the box."
- "Put 'Fresh every morning' on the video."
- "Go back to the video before."
- "Make another one like this."
A change to the video itself uses 10 credits and takes about 10 minutes, and we keep the version you had. Changing the words on a video is free.
Make one like a post you saw
Saw a post or video you love? Tap the camera button, choose Add a post or video you like, and pick it. A screenshot or a saved video both work. Then tell Pip what you'd like, for example "Make one like this for our lemon tarts." We copy the idea, never the content, and make it with your own products, colors and voice.
Answer comments, messages and reviews
Ask "Any new messages?" and Pip shows you what's waiting for a reply, with two replies written the way your business talks. Tap one to send it, or ask him to change it first. We never send a reply until you tell us to.
Set rules we always follow
Tell Pip something once, and we'll follow it in everything we make from then on:
- "Never show prices."
- "Always mention free parking."
- "Don't use the word 'cheap'."
You don't have to repeat yourself. Your rules are listed in Brand, under Your voice. To remove one, tap the edit button on Your voice, then tap the x next to the rule.
Use a specific photo
Tap the camera button next to the message box to see your newest photos,
and tap one to add it to your message. See all shows your whole
Library, and Upload a photo sends a new one from your phone. You
can also type @ and pick a photo, for example: "Use @lemon tart for
Friday's post." We'll use that exact photo.
Settings, your plan and your team
These have their own pages. Ask in Chat and Pip gives you a button that takes you straight there. The one setting he can change for you in the chat is your posting schedule, for example: "Post at 8:00 AM instead of lunchtime."
See what Chat changed
When Chat does something, a short note appears in the conversation, like "Scheduled for Friday, September 25 at 8:00 AM". If a note has more detail, tap it to see it.
Some changes, like a new fact about your business, a new rule or a moved post, also appear under Recent activity on Home. You can undo them there with Undo.
